Free exam slots at Warsaw's WORD centres disappear within seconds, and paid slot-hunting apps charge every month. Here is a step-by-step guide to Info-Kierowca Notifier — a free program that watches info-kierowca.pl for you and alerts you about earlier dates.
Free exam slots at Warsaw's WORD centres disappear within seconds, and paid apps that hunt for them charge a monthly fee. There is a free alternative, though: Info-Kierowca Notifier, a program that watches info-kierowca.pl for you and lets you know when an earlier slot appears. Here's how to install it, set it up and what to watch out for.
“My test is five weeks away and I refresh the page every morning — nothing” — that's everyday life for many of our students. Slots at Odlewnicza and Bemowo free up regularly because someone cancels or doesn't pay for a booking, but you have to catch the right moment. A bot can do it for you, for free.
What is the free Info-Kierowca Notifier bot?
Info-Kierowca Notifier is a free, open-source program (MIT licence) published on GitHub. It runs on your own computer — Windows, macOS or Linux — with no subscription and without sending your data to a third-party company.
At regular intervals it checks free exam slots at the centres you choose. It uses the same requests info-kierowca.pl sends when you search manually — it just does it automatically. When it finds a slot earlier than your current booking, it shows it in its dashboard and can send a notification to your phone.
What you'll need
- A Windows, macOS or Linux computer that stays on and online while searching.
- Google Chrome — the program uses it to log in and open the booking page.
- Profil Zaufany (Trusted Profile, recommended) or the mObywatel app.
- Your PKK number (Driver Candidate Profile).
- An Android phone — if you want the program to renew the login by itself.
- The ntfy app on your phone — optional, for push notifications.
Step 1: download and run the program
Go to github.com/FilipNowakowicz/info-kierowca-notifier and open the Releases tab. You'll find ready-made files: an .exe for Windows plus macOS and Linux versions. You don't need to install Python or write any code.
On first launch your system will show a warning because the files aren't digitally signed. This happens only once:
- Windows: click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
- macOS: right-click the file and choose “Open”.
- Once running, a browser tab opens with the program's dashboard — that's where you set options and see the slots found.
Step 2: log in to info-kierowca.pl
The program needs access to your account to check slots. You can log in two ways:
Your Profil Zaufany password is stored in your system's secure vault: Credential Manager on Windows, Keychain on macOS or the equivalent service on Linux — never in a plain config file. If no vault is available, the program stops the setup rather than store the password insecurely.
- Profil Zaufany — recommended by the author; lets the program renew the login on its own.
- QR code in the mObywatel app — a fallback that needs you every time the login is renewed.
Step 3: enter your PKK number and choose WORD centres
The program usually reads your PKK number and licence category from your account; if not, enter them manually. Then choose which exam centres to watch. For Warsaw students we recommend ticking both WORD centres — Odlewnicza and Bemowo — because slots free up there at different rhythms.
Step 4: set your search criteria
This is the most important part of the setup. You enter:
- Your current booking date — only earlier slots count as better.
- The earliest acceptable date — handy if you want a few days for refresher lessons.
- Exam type — theory or practical.
- The range of dates and times that suit you.
- How you want to be notified.
Step 5: turn on phone notifications
Slots found always appear in the browser dashboard. If you're not at your computer all day, set up push notifications:
- During setup the program generates a private link.
- Install the free ntfy app on your phone.
- Subscribe to that link in the app.
- From then on your phone alerts you when a matching slot appears.
How does the bot keep you logged in?
An info-kierowca.pl session expires after about an hour. Without logging in again the program would stop checking, so it handles that itself:
- Profil Zaufany — about 5 minutes before the session expires, the program opens a separate Chrome profile, enters your details, reads the SMS code from Google Messages for web and restores the session, even in the background.
- Requirement: Google Messages for web only works with an Android phone paired with your computer beforehand.
- iPhone — the code can't be read automatically; you type in the SMS code at each renewal.
- mObywatel — the program waits until the session expires and shows a QR code to scan.
How often does the bot check for free slots?
Every 7 minutes by default. info-kierowca.pl allows about 10 searches per hour and the program deliberately stays within that limit. Checking alone books nothing — it only reads available slots.
What happens when the bot finds a slot?
The program offers three levels of booking help. Only the first is on by default; you enable the others in the automation section of the settings.
- Level 1: booking assist (on by default) — opens a logged-in Chrome window on the booking page of that centre and stops at the list of exams; you pick the time yourself.
- Level 2: auto-select (off by default) — selects the matching slot and goes to the summary, but submits nothing.
- Level 3: auto-confirm (off by default) — places the booking in the portal; the window stays open so you can finish any confirmation and pay for the exam.
Important: the bot doesn't cancel your old booking
Even with auto-confirm, the program creates a new booking but doesn't cancel your existing one. You must reschedule or cancel the old date yourself on info-kierowca.pl — no later than 2 working days before the exam, otherwise the fee is lost. Pay for the new slot quickly too, or it goes back to the pool.
Advantages of the free bot
- Completely free — no subscription, no hidden fees.
- Runs on your computer; session cookies and your PKK number go only to info-kierowca.pl.
- Your password is kept in the system's secure vault.
- The source code is public, so anyone can check what it does.
- By default it books nothing without your decision.
Limitations you should know about
- It checks less often than paid services — popular slots vanish within seconds, and paid bots poll the portal far more frequently.
- It relies on an unofficial API — info-kierowca.pl may change or block such tools at any time.
- The author no longer has portal access and doesn't test it on the live site; fixes depend on other users.
- Profil Zaufany and Google pages may change and break automatic session renewal — watch the full login process at least once before leaving it unattended.
- Your computer must stay on — once it sleeps, the bot stops searching.
- On an iPhone you need to be around — every session renewal (roughly hourly) needs you.
- It needs some computer confidence — less technical users may prefer a ready-made app such as Złap Termin.
Is using the bot safe and legal?
No regulation forbids such tools, but this is a private project, not an official WORD or portal solution. The author states clearly that you use it at your own risk and in line with the portal's terms. If you enable auto-confirm, check the summary every time, because the program places real bookings.
FAQ: free bot for driving test slots
Is the bot really free? Yes. It's published free of charge under the MIT licence with no subscription.
Do I need to know how to code? No. Just download the ready-made file from the Releases tab on GitHub and run it.
Will the bot book my exam itself? Not by default — it opens the booking page and you choose the slot. Auto-select and auto-confirm can be enabled in settings.
Will the bot cancel my current booking? No. Reschedule or cancel the old one yourself on info-kierowca.pl, no later than 2 working days before the exam.
How often does it check for slots? Every 7 minutes by default, within the portal's limit of about 10 searches per hour.
Does it work with an iPhone? Yes, but with Profil Zaufany you'll type the SMS code at every session renewal. Full automation needs Android.
Is my data safe? The password is kept in the system vault, and session cookies and your PKK number are sent only to info-kierowca.pl. The code is public.
Does my computer need to stay on? Yes. The program only works while the computer is running and online.
An earlier date isn't everything
An earlier exam only makes sense if you're truly ready — a failed attempt means waiting again and paying again (the Category B practical test costs PLN 229.99). Before grabbing a quick slot, consider 2–4 hours of refresher lessons on the exam routes and watch our WORD Bemowo and Odlewnicza route videos.
Other ways to get an earlier date — a written request to the WORD director, rescheduling on info-kierowca.pl and notification apps — are covered in our article “How to get an earlier driving test date in Poland?”.
At OSK Lauto we help students prepare for the exam and advise when it really makes sense to bring the date forward. Join our Category B course!
