Waiting five or six weeks for a practical slot? Here is how booking works in Warsaw and four legal ways to get an earlier date.
You book the state exam through the Info-Car portal or in person at the centre. You need your PKK number, a passed theory exam (if you are booking the practical part) and the exam fee — 50 PLN for theory and 222 PLN for the practical exam. The procedure is simple; the waiting time is the problem, often 5–6 weeks in Warsaw.
1. Take the exam in another city
You may sit the exam at any WORD in Poland and book it online through Info-Car. If you were already registered elsewhere, your profile stays locked there for six months — ask that centre to release it by e-mail or in person; it usually takes up to three days.
2. Apply for an earlier date
- Submit the request in person at Odlewnicza or Bemowo
- Give a real reason: a new job, a move, studies or travel abroad
- State that any date and any hour suits you — it clearly raises your chances
- Candidates can cancel free of charge two days ahead, so slots open up constantly
- When WORD calls with a slot in 3–5 days, never refuse — the average wait for such a call is about two weeks
3. Free slot-watching apps
About ten apps monitor Info-Car for free slots (Szybkie Prawko, Złap Termin and similar). Free versions refresh every 15 minutes, so you are racing other candidates; paid versions (15–20 PLN) refresh every 1–2 minutes.
4. Services that book the slot for you
- You register, choose the centre and exam category
- You pay for the service (around 120 PLN)
- A free slot usually appears within 1–2 days, for an exam in 3–6 days
- You must pay the exam fee within 30 minutes of the reservation — slots most often appear between 7:00 and 9:00
- If no slot appears within three days, most services refund the fee
Our office books exams for our students and handles the paperwork in Polish, so you do not have to navigate Info-Car alone.
