Everything international learners in Warsaw ask before starting a Category B course with OSK Lauto.
Can I take the whole driving course in English?
Yes. The theory course is available online in English, practical lessons are taught by an English-speaking instructor, and the state theory exam at WORD can be taken in English.
Do I need a PKK number before I start?
Yes. The PKK (driver candidate profile) is issued by a Warsaw district office and is required before formal training can begin. We guide you through the documents step by step.
How long does the course take?
The basic course usually takes 6–10 weeks. The accelerated course is completed in 21 days and the intensive course in 15 days.
How much does a Category B course cost?
The basic course costs 5 290 PLN, the accelerated course 5 990 PLN and the intensive course 7 090 PLN. Extra driving hours are 180 PLN per hour.
Can I learn on an automatic car?
Yes. We train on both manual and automatic cars. Note that WORD examination centres only provide manual cars, so for an automatic exam you can rent our school car.
Can I use a school car for the state exam?
Yes. Renting our car for the practical exam costs 290 PLN, and you take the test in the same vehicle you practised in.
Do I need a residence permit to get a Polish licence?
You need to prove that Poland is your normal place of residence. Accepted documents depend on your status, so confirm the details with your district office.
Where do lessons start?
Lessons usually start at our office at ul. Ogrodowa 5 in central Warsaw, but we can also pick you up in Wola, Żoliborz, Bielany, Bemowo or near Wileński Station.
