Terms and Conditions of the Lauto Driver Training Centre
By starting a course at the Lauto school, you accept these terms and conditions.
SCHOOL – OSK LAUTO, 00-893 Warsaw, ul. Ogrodowa 5
STUDENT – a person using our products and services
- The LAUTO School
- The School declares that it has instructional staff holding the qualifications required for driver training together with the relevant licences, as well as equipment and technical infrastructure compliant with the Polish Act of 5 January 2011 on vehicle drivers.
- The training consists of 30 theory lessons (45 minutes each) and 30 practical hours (60 minutes each); for categories A1, A2 and A it comprises 20 hours, on the terms set out in the Act on vehicle drivers.
- After the training is completed, the School undertakes to conduct an internal theory and practical examination on the terms set out in the Act on vehicle drivers.
- The School undertakes to update the Driver Candidate Profile (PKK) once the internal theory and practical examinations have been passed and all fees have been paid by the course participant.
- The School declares that it delivers the training diligently, based on the requirements you will face at the state examination at WORD (the regional road traffic centre).
- The Lauto School is open to all suggestions, dialogue and substantive discussion with the Student.
2. Fees
- The course fee must be paid in cash or by bank transfer, in full or in interest-free instalments according to the following schedule:
- 1st instalment – before enrolling on the course,
- 2nd instalment – before completing the 10th hour of practical training,
- 3rd instalment – before completing the 20th hour of practical training.
- For a payment to be recorded in our systems, all transfers must be made no later than 2 days before the scheduled driving lessons for which the payment is required. Otherwise, a printed bank payment confirmation must be presented at the lesson.
- The Centre reserves the right to adjust the course price once 6 months have passed from the course start date. The course start date is the day the first payment was made. If the course is suspended during that period, the remaining practical part will be settled according to the formula: [(current course price / 30 practical hours) – (course price at enrolment / 30 practical hours)] × unused hours = amount to be paid additionally.
- If the required top-up payment is not made, the instructor will suspend scheduling further lessons until the arrears are settled.
- The Centre reserves the right to charge for hours scheduled with an instructor that the student did not attend or did not reschedule within the required time. The fee equals the current price of refresher lessons.
- In the event of resignation from the course, the funds paid to the Centre will be refunded less the cost of: training materials, theory classes and the practical training hours already delivered.
3. The driving course
- Before starting the training, the Student is required to provide their PKK (Driver Candidate Profile) number to the Lauto school.
- Available course start dates can be found in the DATES AND ENROLMENT section at www.lauto.pl.
- The School has the right to change or cancel a course date in extraordinary circumstances, including technical failures, illness of an instructor or lecturer, or cancellation or rescheduling by students enrolled on that course.
- The theory course of 30 lessons (10 hours for category AM) may take place in a classroom or online as e-learning. In that case, the School provides access to the platform for a period of no longer than 90 days.
The Student is required to attend at least 80% of the theory classes and to pass the internal theory examination after the training.
- The practical course of 30 clock hours for category B, 10 hours for category AM and 20 hours for categories A1, A2 and A is delivered with an assigned instructor and scheduled individually with them.
The Student is required to attend all practical lesson hours and, after completing the training, to pass the internal examination.
- Internal examinations are free of charge on the first date; the fee for a theory examination retake is 30 PLN and for a practical examination retake 150 PLN.
- The driving course should be completed within 18 months of the enrolment date and confirmed by the internal theory and practical examinations; otherwise the PKK number will be returned, a record of completed classes will be issued and the course fee will not be refunded.
4. The Student
- The Student is required to pay the fees listed in point 2.
- The Student is required to complete the basic or supplementary training ending with the internal examinations listed in point 3.
- The Student must attend lessons wearing glasses or contact lenses if such a restriction is recorded in their medical certificate, and must be sober.
- The Student must cancel lessons at least 24 hours in advance (weekend lessons must be cancelled no later than Friday 9:00 p.m.); otherwise the lesson will be forfeited. A cancellation is effective once the assigned instructor has been notified by phone.
The instructor waits for the Student for 15 minutes after the scheduled start of the lesson if the Student has not notified them of being late.
- A Student who deliberately endangers anyone's health or life, or deliberately exposes the School to material loss during their course lessons, will be immediately removed from the list of course participants and the money paid will not be refunded.
5. Interrupting the training
- The Student has the right to interrupt the training. They should notify the School of this by post or e-mail.
If the Student exercises this right, the Centre is required to issue a Record of Completed Classes, release the PKK number and refund part of the fee paid for the course. The theory part is settled at 900 PLN, i.e. the amount of the first instalment. Practical classes are settled proportionally – the number of training hours completed versus not completed. For this purpose, the hourly training rate is calculated by dividing the price paid for the course (minus the theory training) by the total number of practical course hours, and multiplying by the hours not delivered. If the settlement shows an underpayment, the Student must pay it before the PKK is released. The School undertakes to refund any overpayment within 14 working days by bank transfer.
- The School has the right to withdraw from training the Student in the event of:
Failure to provide the PKK number within more than 5 months of enrolment.
The Student's failure to attend the mandatory number of hours required for the basic driving course, in accordance with point 3.
Failure to pay the full course fee when it has become due, in accordance with point 2.
The School deducts an administrative fee of 200 PLN.
