WORD exam

Does the examiner know which attempt you are on?

2 October 2026 · 4 min read

A common worry before a retake: does the examiner see my failed attempts? Here is what the WORD system shows and why it should not stress you.

Students at our Warsaw driving school often ask before a retake: will the examiner know it is my third try? Short answer: the examiner has access to your exam profile, but the attempt number has no influence on the assessment.

What the examiner sees

Exams at WORD Bemowo and WORD Odlewnicza are assigned by the system with your PKK number. The examiner sees your details, the category and the exam record. History may be visible, but examiners handle dozens of candidates daily and grade only what happens during this drive.

Assessment is objective

  • tasks and errors are defined by regulation
  • the exam is recorded on camera — you can appeal
  • examiners are rotated and do not choose candidates
  • a failed attempt does not make the next one stricter

How to prepare for a retake

Take 2–4 refresher lessons on the real exam routes right before the date, focus on the manoeuvre or situation where you failed, and ask your instructor for a mock exam. Most retakes fail because of nerves, not skills.
