The 30 theory hours can happen in classroom lectures or online, at your own pace. Both lead to the same exam — what differs is tempo, discipline and learning style.
The Category B theory programme is 30 hours of classes — road rules, safety, first aid and vehicle basics. Polish law allows both formats, and WORD does not distinguish between them at the exam. The choice depends entirely on your learning style and calendar.
Classroom theory — who it suits
- people who learn through questions and discussion with a lecturer
- students who need a fixed schedule to avoid postponing study
- anyone who values real-life examples — our lecturers explain rules on Warsaw intersections
- lectures at Lauto run in English at our Ogrodowa 5 office, in multi-hour blocks
Online theory — who it suits
- people working shifts or studying part-time
- those who want to start immediately, without waiting for a group
- students who like their own pace — evenings and weekends
- the e-learning platform is included in the Basic package and above, at no extra cost
What both formats share
Whichever format you pick, the same internal exam and the same WORD test await: 32 questions, 74 points maximum, 68 to pass. Statistically, those who pass best are the ones drilling practice tests after the theory — regardless of where the knowledge came from.
The most common online-theory mistake
Postponing. An online course without a plan can stretch into months and delay the whole process — including your practical exam slot. If you choose e-learning, fix two evenings a week and treat them like lessons with an instructor.
Our recommendation
Regular calendar and Wola within reach? Classroom lectures give you the most — contact with the lecturer and group discipline. Irregular work? Take online and save the commute. Either way you sign up through the same form — you pick the theory format at enrolment.
