Your driving school office, lesson meeting point and WORD examination centre are not necessarily the same place. Confirm the destination before planning your journey across Warsaw.
Before opening a journey planner, check what you are travelling to: an office visit, a practical lesson or a state examination. OSK Lauto’s office is at ul. Ogrodowa 5. A lesson can start at an agreed pickup point, while your WORD test takes place at the centre named on your booking confirmation.
This distinction matters if you are new to Warsaw or travelling after work. Do not assume that enrolling at a school in Wola means every lesson starts at its office, or that your examiner meets you there. Confirm the address, date and purpose of the visit first.
Visiting OSK Lauto at ul. Ogrodowa 5
Use the full destination: OSK Lauto, ul. Ogrodowa 5, 00-893 Warszawa. Our English location page includes the office map, directions and contact details. Check office availability before making a special journey; driving-lesson hours are not the same as office opening hours.
For public transport, compare a metro connection with tram or bus stops around Rondo ONZ and Hala Mirowska. The best connection depends on your starting point and the services running that day. Check the walking section as well as the time spent on the vehicle, and avoid relying on an old line number from a blog post.
If coming by car, allow time to find a legal parking space and check the signs and payment conditions where you park. A map pin for the school is not a reservation for a parking place outside the door.
Arranging a meeting point for your driving lesson
Discuss a convenient meeting point with the school or instructor: your address, a place near work, a metro station, the office or a point outside WORD. Pickup is agreed in advance and depends on the lesson plan and availability; it is not an automatic promise of collection at any time.
Send a precise address or map pin and confirm which entrance or side of the street you mean. If meeting near a station, name the exit. Save your instructor’s contact details and let them know promptly if your journey is delayed.
For exam-route practice, discuss whether meeting closer to the centre makes sense. Travelling from your home district may be convenient, but you should understand where the lesson is intended to take place and where it will end.
Travelling to WORD Bemowo or WORD Odlewnicza
WORD Bemowo is at ul. Powstańców Śląskich 127A. WORD Odlewnicza is at ul. Odlewnicza 8. Check your booking confirmation rather than choosing whichever address appears first in search results. Our English centre pages include maps and local descriptions for each location.
Directions to the centre are different from example driving-test route maps. The first helps you arrive at the building; the second helps you understand streets used for preparation. You do not need to follow an example exam drive to reach reception.
If using a school vehicle for the test or arranging a lesson beforehand, confirm the car, instructor and meeting point separately. Do not assume that booking a WORD slot also reserves the school car or transport to the centre.
Plan a reliable journey rather than the shortest one
There is no single dependable travel time across Warsaw. A journey that worked during a quiet afternoon can take longer during the morning rush or roadworks. Check conditions again before leaving and choose a connection that gives you room to arrive calmly.
If you are still choosing a course, start with Lauto’s English overview and discuss your district, working hours and intended test centre. A workable meeting arrangement is part of planning your training, not something to discover on the morning of your first lesson.
- Check the confirmed destination and any arrival instructions.
- Use a current journey planner for departure time, service changes and the final walk.
- Allow extra time for traffic, transfers and finding the correct entrance.
- Keep the booking confirmation and contact details accessible.
- Contact the school about a delayed lesson, or WORD about an examination booking issue.
